Which of these short summaries of my series do you like?

Summary 1:
James Lockhart lives on Earth but finds out that he is part of a Steampunk Alt-Victorian World where magic reigns alongside technology.

Summary 2:
James Lockhart lives in an Alt-Victorian world where magical reigns alongside technology. He hears of people travelling to Earth and wants to travel to, to get away from the drab of his life and experience new things.

This is basically the gist of the whole story. Personally, I love them both, but I would like your opinion on which one you think would work best, and I will decide on whichever has the most votes. Most likely I'll choose by myself, but I want to have a verdict first.
