What was it like to go to the theater in Shakespeare's London? Could you describe the sets, costumes, actors?

What ws it like to go to the theater in Shakespeare's London? Could you please describe the sets, costumes, actors, and audience? And why was the language so important to his plays? Please help me as soon as possible. Thank you.

You mean the Globe theatre, don't you?

Well it was a large wooden theatre, shaped in a circle. There was no roof and in the center there were no seats. There were balconies up the wall for the richer people, but the poor stood on the ground watching the plays from there. These poorer people who stood on the ground were called groundlings. The conditions of the theatre were fairly disgusting. Groundings were disgusting. The went to the bathroom in the corners of the area, drank and ate and left their trash all around them. Shows would last for over 4 hours.

All the actors were men, of course. If they were doing something like Romeo and Juliet, a young man, probably in his teens would play Juliet.

Now, the language of his plays were so important because of how melodic an descriptive they were. Needless to say, Groundlings weren't very smart- they were also fairly vicious. The second they didn't like something they really would throw food at the actors onstage. This is why practically all Shakespeare's plays begin with either a fight, the supernatural, or a sex scene or whatnot. These scenes would hook the Groundlings and get them to watch the rest of the show.

I hope this helps you!
